I would like to remind everyone that there are indeed two brand new sections in this mansion, and I would greatly appreciate testers to test them. Thanks! Smile

Shoot. Forgot to install the trigger which opens the door... This shall be fixed.

I just found a Jack stuck of my own in 14702- if you go to the upper area before you open the grey door / zapper beam. I shall fix this with a falling platform you can use from the upper area.

16299 - Normal

When Jack is on the moving Bat Brick, & jumps off it in the 2nd room above this one, room 15899 with the lady bug, he ends up back down in room 16299 flashing, without a bat brick under him. (see pic).  So now he dies, to get the bat brick back under him.

15099 -Normal

Personally, I think that the area where Jack is standing is way to short......a cheap death so to speak,  If he leaps from the vine, to the left, he falls to his death.  The grass is very deceiving, sort of hiding the shortness of that landing.  see pic

There's really nothing I can do about this bug; people will just have to restart the level if they run into this problem, which isn't really a problem.

As for the second issue, things can be pretty ambiguous, and players will have to learn from their mistakes. Tongue

16301 Normal

I find this area very confusing. When Jack pulls the lever on the 2nd (far left) yellow platform, without warning he shoots straight into the zappers (to me it's sort of a cheap death). Once he learns to wait before he pulls the lever, he then shoot straight up. The room above has a red key on a pole, the room above has zappers that kill him instantly.
Here what I just fail to understand. Since Jack is new to the game, shooting up on the yellow platform into the 2nd room zappers.....how would he know to jump off somewhere? Is he suppose to jump off & get the red key, or ride to the 2nd room & jump off there? I don't like that whole area play. It's just to fast, no time to think & the zappers get you. Cheap death to me.

Here's what I'll do, to make things more normal.

• 16301 Normal - Make the zapper beams completely in sync, so you can time the lever pull more easily.
• 16301 Normal - Make the platform slower so you can react to the zapper beam at the top, if you ride it up that far.

This is normal mode, after all. Things will be much more simplistic on easy mode.

Btw: You are meant to jump off and get the red key half way up. Also, I wasn't the one who designed this section, it was Tobin, so I'm not 100% sure what he was intending to make players do here. Tongue

Hi Anthony & Semi-Native, Thank you for your help.

Suggestion: How about a Hint BB at the lever level of the yellow platform. How would a new player be prepared to jump for the red key, when the platform is still shooting real fast upwards? Think about it. And....once in the 2nd room (above red key) how would the player know to jump off? I mean, I even thought, my 1st time playing that Jack was meant to ride up and up and up until the platform stops. Instead, he dies a cheap death in the zappers 2nd room.

This play does not make sense.
It is a cheap death.....period.

(Pls delete this post, so as to keep the board uncluttered. Thank you)

... hmm? What would a new player be doing on normal mode? They should do easy first, and in easy I'm going to make it so if you've played it before, on normal you'll know what to do with no problem, as long as your MM skills have increased.
