#1
Post here for bugs / comments / suggestions for Magma Peak.

Remember to mention the room number (push Command-D to see it in the upper-left corner) and difficulty (Easy Normal, Hard) you are playing.

A couple comments/suggestions for this mansion:

I was playing on normal mode.

• There's no music, so it could use some. I would suggest track 7 for the first section. Tongue

• Many of the rooms seem a bit too hard for normal.
16492 - Zapper beams seem a bit too fast.
16092 - The Arthurs seem a bit too fast, especially for players who have slower reaction speed. They appear, and immediately start running right at Jack, and the player has to think where to go. If he/she misses the platform back down the first time, Jack will get eaten. Sad
15895 - The disappearing blocks seem too hard for normal, seeing they disappear and appear as you jump to the next.
16498 - Zapper beams are too fast for normal, it seems.
16892 - The disappearing platforms are really cutting it short, I always only get to the other side with a jump from the 3rd last block. If there where no fish to watch out for, it would be easier.

Other things:

• Room 16692 you can't open the green doors, not enough space on the ledge beside them, seeing you open them from the left.

• Room 16292 when you jump up to that secret, there is no way back. I was watching my secret count as I went up there to see when I got a secret. It went up twice - one on top of the bricks used to get to the secret, and one in the secret room. I think one of the
S
in the editor on the bricks in 16292 (top left-hand corner) was meant to be a
T
Trigger to turn the platforms on.

Well, other then that, it's a great, fun, simple mansion. Thats everything I found here. Jacob made this one, right? All the custom bricks, and all.

16291 - Normal

If Jack tries jumping from the middle low grey brick to the left to grab the bag of money (now gone from pic), also on the very bottom far left brick, he ends up on the brick just above the money.  He dies trying to get that bag, as the brick sinks away.

I'm not describing it very well. But the bag should be on the brick just above of where it is now.

And I have to agree with Anthony's post.  It is definitely to hard for a normal mansion.  Perhaps more saves near the hard spots?   :o

16292 - Normal

Ok, I got up there to get into Room 16291 on the left, but now I can't figure out how to get down from way up there.
Help please!

Ok, I finally figured it out, you have to pull the lever 1st.....see 2nd pic.

BUT, PROBLEM IN PIC #1 SHOULD BE FIXED AS OTHERS MAY ALSO MAKE THAT SAME MISTAKE AND GO UP THERE WITHOUT PULLING THE LEVER.

16692 - Normal

Anthony mentions this in his post.  No place to land to open green doors.

Actually, he pretty much covers everything.  Maybe we should just wait for these changes and test the mansion again since access is denied.

Great work you're doing Missy, but try to make sure that when you are reporting a bug that someone els hasn't already said it. Wink

Your right, I should have just said that I too am stuck in the same place & can't continue testing until it's fixed. :'(

Jack can't open the yellow door. There isn't any ledge/step in front of the door to stand on.

Thanks Missy! After 6 deaths trying to jump BACK in 16292 I know what to do. I did not even SEE that lever!

Missy,

Anthony gave specific room numbers that were too hard, so I can tweak these. But are there any others you had in mind that were too hard, besides the ones he mentioned?
