"The" in Mansion Names
#1
Would it be possible to program mansion names that start with
The
to ignore that word? That way, the mansion name would show up alphabetically under the second, and more appropriate, name.

For example,
The Great Escape
would show up under G instead of T.

I have thoughts about this for years but didn't dare to suggest it. You native english speaking persons might get offended Wink.

I can't pretend that I didn't have this thought before, either.... but I still don't think it's such a good idea.
Through months and years of calling up mansion names in lists as they are now, it would rather add confusion than minimize it, should we suddenly change the name structure.

I'm simply used to look for
The Great escape
under
T
as it has always been there.....

The best solution, therefore, would be a facility / process where each user can decide whether he wants to change the name's display or not..... an individual solution, so to speak.

But wait.....  doesn't the Mac offer us that possibility already ?
You're free to change your mansions' names to whatever you want, including the deletion of the
The
, just as you can with every other Mac file name.
You might not be able to access saved games, though, as long as you don't change the names in the saved files as well !

This is a smart man!!! Why didn't I think of it? I have occasionally changed the name to put the mansion on top of the others! :o
