Injury
#1
Just to let everyone know... yesterday I was chasing my son at top speed and I took a nasty fall on the sidewalk. I got banged up - lots of scrapes and worse: my right wrist might be broken - it's pretty bad. The fingers are intact, and I can type - albeit carefully, but lateral motion with my hand is right out.

At the moment I have it in a splint to keep it immobilized, but I'm getting ready to head back to the hospital in a few moments.

Anyway...it remains to be seen if this is going to impact my efforts. It didn't last night, but I had a painkiller helping out. I'm actually more concerned about my day job since I'm right-handed, and using my hands is kind of critical to what I do.

If something changes I'll be sure to let you all know.

Ouch. Those are pretty nasty. Wrists are a pain to heal, especially if broken. If they are, it requires no movement at all. Surely your day job won't give you much trouble, stuff like this happens to people all the time who have day jobs. If it's just a bad sprain, you should be back on your hands in less than 2 weeks. Good luck!

Oh man, that's horrible! Take care of that hand, Rob, don't overuse it. Good luck and let us know how you're doing.

Rob, I'll continue uploading the HD ready cm's. Relax and take care of your hand.

Thanks! Apparently, it's a bad sprain + some bruising. The doctor gave me a much better splint than what I had been using (a rollerblading wrist guard), which immobilizes the wrist much better even when typing. So long as I don't overdo it, it's fine.

So glad it's not broken. Take it easy.
