Magma Peak - HARD
I played this level first, and I didn't have much in the way of comments. Nothing serious stood out as being wrong, but I did question whether I was playing the Hard version several times.
While it was a fun mansion and well-designed, I was surprised that I was able to finish the entire mansion without having to restart from a save point. I think it was easier than the other Hard mansions I've tried so far, and perhaps closer to some of the harder
Normal
mansions.
The only comments I had recorded were about the keys from nowhere in two rooms: 16092 and 15690. The first of these rooms at least hinted at a missing or hidden item. In both rooms they also materialized in plain sight once triggered, so at least there was this.
In rooms with treasure, there's a jingling noise if there is still something hidden, which can be very useful, but it doesn't appear to apply to hidden keys. I have to admit though that even the jingle was lost to me when I play without sound (as I often do).
The irony isn't lost on me that on one hand I'm commenting that the mansion was perhaps a little too easy, and on the other I'm saying that hidden keys are too hard. Oh well... at least I'm consistent when it comes to hidden keys.
