How do I make image capture?

How can I make an image capture of a plain screen room, just for relating about a stuck Jack in an Included Mansion (in 1.1.4)? I have an app. called

CAPTURE

but can't use it while I play the game...

Mac has the following options:
command + shift + 4 drag-select desire part of screen

command + shift + 3 grabs the whole screen

I knew this fonction and use it with my MacPro, but can't make it work with my Powerbook G4, where MM is installed. Even if I lock number keys. How can I do it with a desktop comp?

It shouldn't matter which model of Mac you use.
