A question about The Moneypit

I am replaying The Moneypit by Matt and Joe.  I am in room 13702 where the player has to choose between going left or right.  To be able to move on the player has to do the right wing to get the proper keys.  As far as I can see, when the player reaches room 13702 again, he cannot do the left wing as well.  And, if the player chooses to do the left wing first, he has to backtrace his steps to room 13702 in order to do the right wing.  Am I right in these assumptions or am I missing something?

I have a question about The Money Pit as well. I have arrived in Room 13896, past the two purple doors, numerous times and always without the required blue key to go further. Anybody have a clue? Do you remember from when you played the mansion recently, Brell?
