Okay, I couldn't find the thread where someone requested this, but the New/Open Room dialogs have been combined into a single Open Room... menu item. Click on a non-existant location to do New room, and click on an existing location to do Open Room, all from within the same dialog.
I'll probably try to get an update out sometime next week. It won't have a lot of the very recent things that have come up (Freddy sent me a list of like 8 items), but it'll contain everything I've said is in the new editor.
