Two remarks
#1
Room 16297
The ladderjump is not very obvious, which can lead to a cd.

PS have you changed the transition zone? Because now the silver bricks are on but not the gold bricks. Or am I doing something wrong?

You mean the topladder jump at the left. Where the top of the ladder doesn't reach a floor?

There are changes everywhere in the mansion although only to get things (much) better. However in the transit zone the gold/silver issue did not change.

Yes

Ok but the silver bricks are on now, not the gold bricks. I must restart from first save to find out where I changed back from gold to silver because I remember that last time I played the gold bricks were on.

The blocks must be gold to be able to leave the purple area and enter the transit zone.
If I understand you well, Jack somewhere in The Loop changed the blocks into silver, then followed a path while having no key (anymore) and find no place at all to leave the transit zone.
It would be helpfull if you may tell in which rooms he pulled the lever and used his final key.

No, Jack has not used his key, but somehow he managed to change gold back to silver. I'll start from the first save (is there only one in the purple area?) and check where this happened, but I will propably not be able to until Friday.

Found some spare time and found the culprit!

Room 17100

Let´s say that Jack starts by going down to this room before doing anything elsein the transit area.  He goes down to the room below and up again at the ladder furthest to the right.  Going that way back, he is forced to trigger a floorbutton that toggles gold to silver blocks.

My guess is that this should NOT matter.  Jack should still be able to use his rainbow key anywhere he pleases, wright?

I was well aware of that manoeuvre in room 17300 where Jack leaves the green door closed and kept his key. But I was afraid that there should be a spot where the blocks got toggled while having no key. It is supposed to be impossible and I do hope I am right. But with a key, no reason to go back into the purple area. Just use the rainbow key on any reachable coloured door.
