The Lion is coming, am I ready?
#1
In preparation of upgrading to Lion OS 10.7 I've checked all my apps using the System Profiler and I find that my
Intel
version of Midnight Mansion is listed as a PowerPC app. Is there an Intel version available?

Yes, you should have gotten both versions of the app (Intel and PPC) in the package. Do you have the latest version? You could always download it again.

Actually, Semi-Native, both versions are indeed PowerPC applications, the difference being that the MM Intel version runs better on Intel Macs. But the new MM HD is universal binary and thus will run on both PPC and Intel Macs.

mmmm - just updated to Lion . . . and now MM 1 and MM 2 don't work at all - even the Intel version has a no entry sign on it? Do I need to download a new verision?

MM1 HD beta works though! Wink

As I said above, the
Intel
version of the old MM game is actually a PPC version, that simply works better on Intel Macs. It does NOT run on the Lion. The new HD version, however, is universal binary nad runs fine on 10.7

I am sure that Vern will update MM2 as well when the MM1 update is released.

I will update MM2 as soon as artwork for it is updated to high definition. This requires a bit of work from Jacob who has a full-time day job. But all the programming for it is done and ready to go. :-)
