Final Candidate ready for testing!!!
#1
Hey folks! Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills has reached Final Candidate status! Get it here:

www.actionsoft.com/files/mmsequel/MidnightMansion2FC1.zip

This means *everything* is in place, and set, ready to go! But, I've done quite a number of changes prior to this that *could've messed anything up*, so I need your help in one last round of testing, to make sure no major bugs/problems have slipped through!

We're not really looking for minor suggestions / nitpicks at this point. Just big things. If you see ANYTHING in the game that doesn't belong in a *release* version, then please let me know! Absolutely everything should be final now!

Please do test playing both built-in and custom mansions, and test as many of the built-in mansions as you can.

IMPORTANT: You need to first delete all your old saved games and movies. They won't work properly with this latest build. To find them:

1) Select
Home
from the Go menu in the Finder.
2) Open Library
3) Open Application Support
4) Open Midnight Mansion 2

Drag your User Movies and Saved Games folders to the trash.

While you're at it, would you mind dragging your
Midnight Mansion 2 License
to the trash as well? Test the game for a little while in unregistered mode. See if you can do anything a user who hasn't yet paid for the game shouldn't be able to do. Then after testing a little while like this, enter your license code into the game again, using the one you were given earlier. I just need to make sure the whole process is working smoothly!

Thank you all SO MUCH for your help! You've all been fantastic testers!

Thanks especially to:
Missy
Semi-Native
Rose
MapMan
Rob Seegel
Margherita

You all in particular did very extensive testing, and the game wouldn't be what it is today without your help!! [I hope I'm not missing anyone… if you were a really heavy tester who posted a lot these past few months, then my
extra
thanks go out to you as well!]

The plan is this: test heavily Tuesday and Wednesday, and if all goes well, release either Wednesday night, or Thursday. That is, IF no major problems are found. If major problems are found, the schedule might be delayed a little bit.

As said in the other thread it is to short time testing everything. I do have a job and I don't play fast and haven't finished Dr. Dem.... yet and I am still finding problems.
