Mp3-files cut into pieces
#1
I am looking for an easy way to devide mp3-pieces of music into 2 pieces. This question has really nothing to do with MM, btw. But I have a few live songs on my mac, where start and finish are waaaaaaay to loooooong.

Is there any one who can help me?

If not, I start a MMF-strike. ;D Wink

try audacity, it's a free audio edit program, to which you can download an mp3 plug-in [also for free] and import mp3s as well and do whatever you'd like with them

Do you have Quicktime Pro? You can chop up audio really easily with it. Smile I wanted a really annoying alarm to wake myself up with in the morning, so I chopped the first two bars of 'One Armed Scissor' by At the Drive in and looped it. Then I bluetoothed it to my phone. Big Grin

Hi Freddy

I use a neat app called MP3 trimmer - $10.95 from:

Thx for the suggestions! Smile

I started in chronological order with Audacity and could cut away the end of a song. Then I saved my work as an aup-file.

So far no problem, since I received a message that I need to use 'export as mp3' to get a mp3-file again. But when I tried to do that, I received a new message asking for LAME and LameLib. What should I do now?

[smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] I did find it out myself. Lame (an other program) had to be downloaded seperately. And the combination of Audacity and Lame works for what I want to do.
