A lot of games ALWAYS end with GAME OVER. And then the player is free to start a new attempt. Or not.
In Midnight Mansion we are very used to 'visit' mansions with a serious stress on the exploration factor. There is nothing wrong with it. But for once and only once, I wanted to make a mansion as close to the edge as possible.
It is therefor that A Tale of One City:
- is pretty hard;
- does not contain a lot of money;
- has only one saving point at the end of each section.
For the players who reached the exit yet, they will have noticed the message on the BBB (brown blackboard). The green area will be built up in a completely different way. But it will force players even more to restart (from the 1st saving point). 8-)
