Why is everything up-side down?

Upon reading forums today, I find that newest messages now are listed first, and oldest on later pages (like page 2 or 3). This is totally backwards. Is my software goofing up, or was this an intentional change by forum admins?

If intentional, I highly recommend going back to the old way. All other forums do it this way that I know about. It's just good to stay to the standard norm.

I have not changed anything.  This is something that each user can change by clicking on the topic name at the top of the messageboard.
