Technical Question - Jackie - 12-12-2007

Does anybody know of a Mac shortcut to get to the desktop while playing MM? Sometimes I'm notified that mail has arrived but I'm not able to read it without suspending and quitting the program and then restarting again after I've checked the mail.

Re: Technical Question - Semi-Native - 12-12-2007

Hi Jackie,

You can toggle between full screen and window mode. Hit the Esc key to pause the program, then hit Command-space bar to go to window mode. You can check your mail or whatever, then go back to MM, hit the Esc key again. That might automatically change you back to full screen. If not, hit Command-space bar again.

Perfect, Semi-Native!! The Esc and Command-Space keys to toggle between full screen and window mode works great. Just what I wanted to know. It will come in handy when I want to check the time as well since there is no other clock in my computer room. Thanks! [smiley=happy.gif]

Doesn't the Command+Tab shortcut work? Vern said he put that or was going to put that in an update... Undecided

Re: Technical Question - Jackie - 12-13-2007

I couldn't get command + tab to work, Wingy.

Re: Technical Question - Mikee - 12-15-2007

command + tab, that's are no problem at my computer! i can make this without problems why you not? :-? Undecided

Re: Technical Question - Jackie - 12-19-2007

I never did get command + tab to work and am not sure why. Looked up that shortcut in Apple's Help and it is Application Switcher. Something must not be set up correctly on this Intel iMac and I haven't changed the default. I'm glad the escape-command-space trick works to shrink the window. I use it often.

Re: Technical Question - Matari - 12-19-2007

On my macbook pro, just command-space works

Re: Technical Question - Wingy - 12-19-2007

...maybe it doesn't work because I think it only came out in Mac OS 10.4 and you only have 10.3?? :-?

Re: Technical Question - Jackie - 12-22-2007

This Mac has OS 10.4.11, Wingy. My friend got a new iMac a couple months ago and she can shrink Midnight Mansion with just command-space too, Matari. I have to hit Escape first. Anyway, it gets the job done.
