Signs - samskelton - 02-05-2007

To you guys this may be a stupid question but I've always been baffled by this...
How do you do signs???
I have resedit, but I don't know what numbers to enter..... :-[

Re: Signs - Wingy - 02-06-2007

First step: Drag your mansion into ResEdit
Second Step: Press Command + K and type in TEXT (all caps) and press enter.
Third step: Type your message. Memorize the I.D. # and when you click your sign with pink mouse, type the # in.
Fourth Step: To make more messagest, press Command + K inside the TEXT category. To change IDs, press command + I when selecting the message and replace the ID # with a new ID #.  Smile

I have the Resedit not!

Where can I download it?

Just Google for it Smile

Alternative resource editors are Rezilla and Resourcerer.

I'm able to change the signs with the original editor, but how do you change them in the Expansion Pack ?

If I type in the text I want, then /every/ sign (of the same size) in the mansion says the same thing. Am I completely missing something ? I'm using Rezilla for editing and Photoshop for PICTs .

thanks

You don't need to use an resource editor anymore! In the Mansion builder click the red arrow (for editing) and then click on the sign. You'll get a dialog where you can write your message. Just be sure to delete everything inside that dialog before deleting a sign.
