I think that was in the Builder time, that (some) people put a bunch of backpacks right in front of Jack in the starting position so that he got a number of more lives before going anywhere into the mansion...
Or perhaps there's another way (?)

If I remember correctly, you pause the game and type
extralife(without the quotation marks). Or something like that. :
