Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - hawaii - 07-05-2010 HARD 14497 - not a problem really, but the bricks move sooooo fast, that on the lower right access point, my Jack stood there jumping up & down (not moving) just up & down for quite a few tries before he finally landed on one. Maybe I am still to blown away for the alps and haven't recovered! lololololol 14300 - THIS ROOM IS BRILLIANT, JUST BRILLIANT!!! 14297 - Although I love this room, in this version, Jack has to keep going up 2 flights to leave the room to reset the game play. In the other versions he could exit on the lower level I believe, which made it less annoying. 13894 - Please check lever in this room, nothing seems to happen when it is pulled???? maybe it's just me? 13694 - Wind still a bit much, Jack can't seem to get past the grey door and the spider creeps up on him & he dies. :'( Also room 13693, wind to strong. 13692 - LOVE THE TROLL ROOM THING, but for me, the moving brick shoots out of the green water way to fast. I can't tell when it is going to come up of the water without counting the seconds. Maybe if the water was more translucent, my Jack wouldn't die so much? Or maybe it's just me. 13493 - Waiting for the green square to appear, the Medusa & the nasty wind, especially the moving floor, makes for a death either by falling or via Medusa, for sure. 13292 - wind kept Jack on the disappearing white thingamajig, and then he falls to his death. I read that you wanted to know about all the windy rooms, but I think you get the gist of what I and others have said, the wind velocity is more like a hurricane...way to tough to handle without saves all over the place. So no need to continue posting about it. ***NOTE: I seem to be having a glitching problem when Jack enters 13293 & the wind keeps pushing him back to room 13292, the screen jumps like a bad tv connection and its hard to get him onto that purple brick because the wind pushes him between the ledge and it and he keeps falling thru. 12693 - The ladder going to the room above is broken. 14496 - Gosh, I just can't figure out how to get to the section below this room. I know that there is a hidden spot on the right. The bat bricks don't go to the room below???? (btw: one of the bat bricks doesn't have an arrow. I have no keys left? Someone pls tell me how to proceed. Thank you! Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - Semi-Native - 07-05-2010 Missy, about 14496 in the Hard version. I already posted about that one. The bat platforms are supposed to go between rooms, but that check box is not checked in the MLB. If you do that, then you'll be able to proceed. Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - hawaii - 07-06-2010 HARD 14894 - The red trap door closes when Jack leaves the room. It should stay open, yes? no? 16301 - The Medusa sure corners Jack in the Treasure Chest area. Personally, I think that it is a crying shame to be short the 2 green keys needs to explore that whole underworld area. I REALLY DO! To go thru the entire mansion again, trying to save one key, only to discover that you should have 2 green keys when you get down there is NOT a good play. It is sort of a sadistic play. SORRY, but that is how I feel. Most people will not even dream that there is so much more, they will just think that it's some more treasure and call it quits. That is why it is a real shame to be short of those 2 green keys down below. Also, again there is much more non required back tracking to the 1st exit area. Justify it any way you want Rob, but I finally read the other testers posts all the way thru and I am not the only one complaining about this. ![]() This is way to beautiful a mansion to not be seen all the way thru. ![]() 16701 - The Medusa does not make noise when Jack kills it. 16702 - The disappearing ledges are to far away for Jack to make the long jump. Either that, or they are on the wrong layer. 16700 - The yellow brick is to low. see pic The MLB shows two horizontal bricks, but the game only has one. 16902 - The blue bat brick is to low. It bangs into the blue sinking bricks. What is the point of this area anyway? I mean, Jack has to knock himself out for 2 red keys only to grab a couple silver coins? hmmmm? Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - hawaii - 07-06-2010 HARD 17100 - The little green dropping brick on the far left close to the ladder does not go to the room below. Jack drops to his death. Ok, so how does Jack access the ladders? I will make a cheat in MLB so as to continue. 17300 - The lever with the scorpions did nothing. And the one above the barrels did nothing as well. When Jack dies in 17501 he reappears in 17301 and has to do the whole troll thing again. OK, Finally finished with only 70% secrets. I don't think that I have the mental strength to go thru this one again. lolololol And like the others, if it wasn't for cheating I would not have been able to get thru this one, at all, ever, never, ever! lolololol Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - rose - 07-06-2010 I seems to find the same problem as Semi-Native and Missy. I wont mess about in MLB to be able to continue testing Jaspelone Mt Hard. I will wait for the much need corrections instead. BUT I must say Jasperlone is one of my favorite mansions in MM2!!! Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - Semi-Native - 07-07-2010 EASY The last (exit) room has a BBB pointing to the right for Jasperlone Treasure Cave, but in the easy version there's nothing to the right like in normal and hard. Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - Semi-Native - 07-07-2010 I just noticed that nobody has posted comments about Normal yet. I'll start testing that one. Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - Semi-Native - 07-07-2010 Normal Old music used. First noticed iin 14098 14901 Yellow platform could move a little faster. 14695 A little too hard with the small sinking blue tiles and bat platform. 15094 Bat platforms a little too hard. 15305 bottom level A bit too hard having to jump over the bird and try to get on the yellow platform. 14711 Trolls too fast. Gosh you are brave! [smiley=vrolijk_1.gif] I got sooooo burnt out with all that back tracking in hard, I really did need a rest from it. Otherwise testing, while the moves are in my memory, may make me careless. Re: Beta 4: Jasperlone Mountains - Wingy - 07-08-2010 6E6771676F6F060 wrote: Yeah, my bad. I meant to make that middle dip where that centre pine tree is flat, so the goblin could jump down the cliff then come over and open the door. Oops. I'll fill it in with my shovel... 6E6771676F6F060 wrote: /pokes the shield... 6E6771676F6F060 wrote: Strange, very strange. No idea why it did that. 6E6771676F6F060 wrote: Ooo, yes, I'm a tricky one. Just wait until you hear the splash then jump when you're on a skull platform, and you'll catch them just fine. 6E6771676F6F060 wrote: Ah, the skeleton only activates if you walk directly over it. So just jump over it and it shouldn't bother you. 747D6B7D75751C0 wrote: Usually when you do this mansion you pull the lever then go around and get the key. If you did it the other way around, just make sure you don't do it next time. ![]() 747D6B7D75751C0 wrote: If the player chooses to get the secret, he'd have to backtrack. It's not that much, just a couple of rooms. I don't see much of an issue. 747D6B7D75751C0 wrote: You aren't meant to drop down from above in hard version… but I suppose you still can. I'll fix that. The other versions, I already made it so the players can now go back up after being on the top part of that house thingy. Only thing is if they re-enter the room they would have to backtrack. That is their fault, not mine. 747D6B7D75751C0 wrote: There are three types of backtracking: The type where you must go back and forth to complete the mansion. I've tended to stay away from that. Then there is the type that the player must do if he/she forgot to do something, or did something in the wrong order. Their fault, not mine. Then there is the sacrificial backtracking; if a player chooses to get a secret that requires backtracking. There are only two cases of this in my mansions. Anyway, thanks for the comments missy, I really do appreciate them, as much as I hate backtracking myself I don't think I can make much changes to the mansion. I would have to go in and redesign most of some sections to do so, which I don't have the time in my busy summer right now. Perhaps you've just been such a good beta tester you've played it so much that you're so used to it, or something?
