Magma Peak Hard
Posted by: Skally - 05-09-2011, 03:10 PM - Forum: Included Mansions - Replies (3)

I'm stuck in room 16893. I have saved and explored both left and right on the upper and lower level but the only 2 things that I can think is that I've missed a pink key to go right down on right (but have been back and explored all the level above and I'm sure I haven't and cannot get to the pink key in this room because of a rock fall (or whatever it's meant to be) so all I'm left with is opening the grey door but I cannot find the trigger and I've even been back up and tried to repull every lever.

Could somebody please give me a hint>

A mansion that will never be released... except here
Posted by: david - 05-08-2011, 12:38 AM - Forum: Free Uploading and Downloading - Replies (4)

This is a mansion that by brother and I worked on for along time, first in MM1, then after we converted it in MM2. Smile
It's very low on money, and will proably have a couple of JS's and CD's but as we have decided that this is a lost project we decided to put it here.

My brother added an exit room, and I added a few connections from rooms which would have been dead ends.
Please tell me if you liked it.

Here it is: The Dark Mansion
Controllable Weather
Posted by: triforceguy1 - 04-27-2011, 08:06 PM - Forum: Game Improvements - No Replies

Hey,

I was thinking, it would be cool to have switches that could have an effect on the weather. It would especially be great for wind for an extension to puzzles.

Cheers
Special Abilites of Trolls
Posted by: david - 04-20-2011, 02:35 PM - Forum: Custom Mansions / Designing - Replies (1)

When I testing my mansion earlier, I made a trap in which you had to walk a troll over many moving platforms, which would descend down into water. However my puzzle did not work correctly, as he did not die when sunk into the water. After conducting a few tests I discovered that he did not die when on a moving platform that descended into the water as long as he DID NOT MOVE. Has anyone else discovered this? Or is it just a glitch?

P.S. Heres a video of the situation

How do you convert a Mansion to a special liquid type?
Posted by: david - 04-20-2011, 02:17 PM - Forum: recycle - Replies (1)

Whenever I convert one of my MM mansions, they turn into an acid MM2 mansion. Is there a way to make it so they convert into a different liquid type?

 Still alive...

Hi everybody!

You are probably wondering whatever happened to
Escape from Paris
. Well... I have been away from the whole custom-mansions-business for some time and didn't really feel like working on my MM-project. I've been kind of newly invigorated lately and continued to work on
Escape from Paris
. There are two more (large) sections that I will have to construct, then some fine-tuning and then the whole thing can go into beta-testing. I cannot and will not make any promises as to when the whole thing is finished. I just want you to know that I am working on it and I also intend to finish it.

Here's a screen-shot to whet your appetite (as you can see, the whole thing is getting quite out of hand, size-wise...):

Adding custom graphics to a mansion *without* editing a copy of Game Data?
Posted by: david - 04-05-2011, 06:50 PM - Forum: Custom Mansions / Designing - Replies (4)

I noticed that some of the included mansions in MM2 as well as ghosthunter use custom graphics without an extra copy of Game Data. How is it possible to do this?

 Unaligning Graphics in MM2
Posted by: david - 04-05-2011, 06:37 PM - Forum: recycle - Replies (1)

I was playing a mansion and I suspended the game. 30 minutes later I unsuspended it. The weird thing was that all the tiles( and a few sprites ) were all aligned to the left. And that wasn't it. When you walked the graphics around you would return to their normal placement, but when you left and reentered the room they returned to their misaligned state. I stopped it by quitting the mansion completely. Next time I unsuspended a mansion their was a *very* slight misalignment, but went away after a while. Does anyone now how and why this happened?
:-?
