Help with School MM project - sherryl199 - 10-07-2008 Hi -I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place - couldn't figure where it should go. My grandson, Grayson, is using MM as a topic for a quarterly speech at school. It's a short presentation - he's telling about MM, the origins of the game, the MM forums and where everyone is from, the basics of the game, etc. and how he enjoys building mansions. At the end he wants to give a demonstration of a 2 room castle he designed that include all the elements of the game. When he tries to play the castle he gets the attached error message. He's made lots of mansions, and this hasn't happened before. He sent it to me, and I can't play it either - although I can open the mansion and look at it. Any ideas? The presentation is on Thursday. Thank you. Re: Help with School MM project - otg - 10-07-2008 I think I recognize this error message, I might be wrong though but it could be worth a look If I'm right, this happens if you for instance have a zapper beam node but not the corresponding one, for instance; a left node is present, but the right one is not, or the bottom node is present, but the top one is not. The sprite instructions then have nowhere to go, and the error message occurs. Thus look for lonely bottom or left zapper nodes... Re: Help with School MM project - sherryl199 - 10-07-2008 Thanks I'll pass it along or, if I send the mansion to you, would you check it out? Grayson is in school until 4:00. Re: Help with School MM project - otg - 10-07-2008 sure, check your pm Re: Help with School MM project - otg - 10-07-2008 For the information of others, the error was due to the wrong starting room number being entered, had nothing to do with zapper beams... although the error window looked the same
Re: Help with School MM project - sherryl199 - 10-07-2008 OTG is definitely TG in our book. A huge thanks (and hopefully an Oaka A) to him and the MM community for caring. |
