How do you make invisible bricks? - Nick12 - 09-28-2007 How do you make invisible bricks? :-?Someone please tell me.
Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - ryos - 09-28-2007 It's not that the bricks are invisible, it's just that they're being covered up by tiles placed in layer five or six. I don't think, however, that there is a solid black tile to use, in which case Brell used a custom tile in TPI. If your rooms have backgrounds, though, then you can just use whatever background tile you were drawing with. You also probably will have to erase the fringe. This is the 3D effect placed automatically by the editor in layers 1-3. To erase it, switch to those layers and click away. Hope that helps. Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - Nick12 - 09-28-2007 Thanks, ryos. That works well enough. ;D
Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - samskelton - 09-28-2007 There is actually a solid black brick you can cover things up in laver 5... Those dungeon doors (with the brick backgrounds) have some black tiles between the door peices. (located about 2/3rds of the way down that bar for the bricks/backgrounds. If you don't get what I'm saying, I'll get you a pic. Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - Nick12 - 09-28-2007 I understand thanks, sam. ;D Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - Wingy - 09-29-2007 Speaking of erasing the fridge, don't forget if you want to get rid of layer 6 3d fringe you can uncheck the draw layer 6 fringein the special menu. Then select the nothing-ness tile (aka the erasing black tile) and click away the fridge... it's also easier to uncheck it before you start drawing layer 6 stuff. May not be related to subject... but anyways... oh yeah, to make a good secret that has a good hint, (that's like for example a secret room through a grey brick wall) and you have no layer 6 cracked brick with a fridge to give a hint, just draw a not cracked layer 6 wall to the secret without a fringe! Makes the players to look out for that, because usually they look out for cracked walls... EDIT: Fridge, fringe... whats the differance? :
Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - Psychotronic - 10-03-2007 Fringe, Wingy. Not fridge. Fringe.

Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - ryos - 10-03-2007 EDIT: Fridge, fringe... whats the differance? Some fridges have fringes, some even have midges; but ALL have hinges. Re: How do you make invisible bricks? - Wingy - 10-04-2007 Anyways... back to subject... Hey, I remember in one of AquaMat's mansions... DoD...? (Discoth of doom... is that the right spelling? :-?) That Aquamat put a sign... saying repeat the magic words and you can float... how did you do that, Aquamat?? I've been designing away before and somehow (I forget how) the ground let Jack float, or levitate, as it says in Aquamat's mansion. I had to remake the room to get rid of this, this... bug. :o |
