About an hour or two i deleted a deceptive post from Hunter Mariner (the model name assigned to a ceiling fan). This post advertised information about one of the included mansions and included a link to a YouTube video of ... ceiling fans.
I was actually expecting this when I saw the new user name, but I was waiting to see if the user would post anything. If this post had been innocently posted in the wrong place, then I would have moved it to a more appropriate Topic. However, I have very little tolerance for deceptive posts such as this that have no redeeming value.
Regardless of what this user says, I believe it's likely the same individual as Jonah Musto who has a history of similar postings. Shortly afterwards, this poster posted a message in the Free Chat area. I left this one alone for now, though I was sorely tempted to delete both the message and the account.
Both users share the same IP, and although it *is* possible that it could be two separate people, I don't buy it. I did hold back from taking further action for now, but I just thought I'd make sure everyone understood the circumstances involved. What a sorry waste of time and effort... sigh

Wow, if it really is a sibling of Jonah, the whole family must be seriously deranged.
At first, I thought the video was going to be about selling the fans, and we could delete it as spam, but is it? I just don't get it.

Thanks Rob for the information. I surely didn't realise it was the same person or family. I'd like to add that his sister was a member here. She ended her
carrierby sending me a hate PM and then deregistered.
The reason why I did not delete Jonah's account about a month ago is that, well, the Free chat area IS a free chat area - so long as everything is kept within reason (no violence, porn etc.). I figured that if Vern is allowed to talk about him playing christmas songs on his piano and Sherryl99 can talk about her horses (or is it Semi-Native?), then why not allow the boy to advertise ceiling fans on Youtube. But, it he is now abusing the forum by misleading people, then I think it is time to remoive him altogether and ban the IP.
I'll just check his posts and then decide what to do. I assume I have your approval after everythig that has been going on.

You all have had to with this longer than me - personally I don't mind if he/she/they post in the free chat. It's the misleading posts I object to. I was willing to let the
newaccount off with a warning and if something similar happens again then delete it.
I find the whole thing a puzzling way to waste ones time.

I just got this PM from Jonah:
If my sister (Hunter Mariner) does 1 more thing, you can ban my ip address, but I'll do a trick which she doesn't know about, using a proxy. I'll make sure my sister does not see me using a proxy.
It is his sister that pm-ed me and told me that she hated me and wanted to kill me.
I can of course ban her, him and their IP simply because they are getting very annoying. But should we regard the above message as a threat? He is acually saying that if we ban their IP he will still try to hack himself to our forum via proxys.

It's so hard to know what the truth is here. I'm not even sure what can be done. Have you told Vern about the threat so he's aware of it? The problem is that an account and ip could be banned but it isn't too hard to get around these limitations if someone is determined to be a nuisance and doesn't mind switching to new accounts.
That's more than a little disturbing to hear that you're getting the weird PMs as well.

Justinneedshelp. I banned the username, the IP and the email and then deleted him. I did not post any message to him as it serves no purpose.

Oh geez, I'm the one who upgraded him to Lost One because he said he needed help with one of the mansions and wanted to post.
