Second post - help in DD - dlcatftwin - 01-22-2007 Hi all, I am posting this here as a second attempt - I posted a duplicate elsewhere, not knowing the best location for such. I am in the middle of Doldrum dungeon, Room 17700 to be exact. I am at a deadend. Following the logical course to proceed, I arrive at this room with no options - where do i proceed from here? The floor blocks are grey, BTW, and the zapper in the upper right corner is still on, preventing me to get at what I presume to be an important lever. Many thanks, DLC
Re: Second post - help in DD - brell - 01-22-2007 Yes, it is crucial to get to that lever and, no, you cannot stop that zappers. The trick is VERY exact timing when jumping across the gap to reach the lever. Re: Second post - help in DD - Freddy - 01-22-2007 ;D Sorry for laughing. But ... Doldrum Dungeon is one of Maniac's mansions. And I remember his contribution for the Catacombs that gave an unseen debate on the previous boards about a zapperbeamproblem being normal or hard due to a matter of ... perfect timing. After a real serious poll : it got changed at last.
Re: Second post - help in DD - Maniac - 01-29-2007 Hey, hey, the Catacombs one was a lot more reasonable than this one. Sorry about this. Yeah, DD is a nails-on-chalkboard-tough mansion. You do indeed have to do that jump almost perfectly in order to get to the lever... Smallsome Swicks has absolutely no zapperbeamjumps.
