Generic Questions about MM in general - sherryl199 - 11-09-2010

I am trying to send my Grandson, Grayson, a movie of my
finally
triumph with the bricks in Goron Grotto. I thought I just needed to send the movie to him, he puts it in his User Movies under Library - Application Support - Midnight Mansion - User Movies. We tried that but my movie to him - that he moved from his email - was
grayed out
. Help!

While e-mailing or transferring movies from a computer to another, you must remember to compress it so nothing changes over transfer. To do this, simply right click the file and press
Compress...
and then send the .zip file to your grandson via e-mail. :-)

I did that, Anthony, and then he should put it in his User Movies, right?

You also have to make sure the mansion version in which he is watching the movie from is corresponding to the movie it was recorded from. For example, if you played the Goron mansion 1.1, and he was watching it on 1.0, Jack's recorded actions wouldn't line up and the whole movie would be thrown off.

He has a school holiday today so we're going to work at it long-distance. Thank you for the advice.

Grayson must also *uncompress* the file before attempting to use it. (i.e. un-zip it) Just double-click it to uncompress.

If the file is
grayed out
that means it got corrupted somehow during transfer, or is still in ZIP format.

I resent it a fourth time
zipped
, and that time when
unzipped
, it worked. Who knows?! Thanks to all for the help. BTW, is there a place on the boards where hints (extra lives, etc), tips (how to make & view a movie, etc), directions (how to send a movie(!) etc) are posted? I tried 'searching' for posts related to movies and found very few. I seem to remember we had a topic where that kind of miscellaneous information was available.
