Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - VernJensen - 04-03-2010 Post here for bugs / comments / suggestions for Dr Demented's Den. Remember to mention the room number (push Command-D to see it in the upper-left corner) and difficulty (Easy Normal, Hard) you are playing. Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - Wingy - 04-04-2010 16703 - Now that platform momentum moves with Jack, if you jump as this platform is just about to stop in either of those 'boxes' you can jump on top of them, resulting in a Jack-stuck. I would advise the platforms to stop sooner, below the boxes, instead of in them. Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - VernJensen - 04-05-2010 Actually, I will be modifying the game to *stop* affecting Jack's jumping as soon as the platform stops. Because currently there is a similar problem in Mt. Peril too, when going up. So it'll be fixed in code as soon as I can get around to it. No need to change mansions for now. Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - Wingy - 04-05-2010 I don't see how that will fix the problem, if Jack still goes with the platform while its moving. The only way to get on top of the boxes is to jump *just* before it stops in the box.
Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - Semi-Native - 04-08-2010 I think this is good for a Normal mansion. The only thing that might be a little too hard is the conveyor belts in 15502 and 15503. But that's borderline, really. The *instant* the moving platform stops, Jack's jump will return to normalinstead of accelerated. In this situation, that should definitely avoid any problems. Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - margherita64 - 04-08-2010 Hi everyone, I'm playing Dr. Demented's Den Normal now and I found this strange thing: I found the lamp in room 16705, the icon lamp doesn't appear anyway the room become illuminated, they I gone back and entered the room 16294 that is still dark . It is what you want or is it a bug? bye Margh Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - VernJensen - 04-09-2010 Margherita -- in the Sequel, a lantern only lights up a specific area of the mansion. So there can be many dark areas, and many lanterns. I'll look into this though, to see if this is intentional. Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - margherita64 - 04-09-2010 Ah ok. Now I've finished the mansion, I like it very very very much! (who is the designer?). I haven't found any bugs but, in my opinion, there are 2 situations too difficult for a normal mansion: - in room 16498 it's hard to find that a moving platform will appear: why don't put a coin lower on the vine? - equally has been difficult to find the yellow key in room 16503: what do you think about some key-shaped bricks? I had photoshoppedmy suggestions ![]() Margherita Re: Mansion Comments: Dr Demented's Den - VernJensen - 04-09-2010 Okay, this is indeed a bug in the mansion. I've now fixed the lantern to light up all rooms. |
