I am in Room 30302 and can't seem to figure out where to go next. From reading all of the other posts, it's obvious I can't attempt to go down into the twisted ladder room. I thought I had gone everywhere else, but obviously not the one area I need to go to continue. Maybe I've missed something previously? Help please.

I take it that you have pulled the lever and went to the bandstand to the right of this room?
But that has little to do with how to continue exploring the ship. You are now behind the bridge. How about exploring in front of the bridge?

Yes, I've been to the bandstand and also a couple of the rooms to the left of the ladder under the smoke stack. I tried retracing my steps but can't go left by the radar. Since I have a yellow key I was assuming I needed to go back under the very long ladder, but can't figure out how to get back there.

Thanks Semi-Native. I had gone back that way, but missed it. With the comment in the other thread about secret return passageways plus your post, I went looking again and found it. ;D
Now I can continue exploring.

I'll be totally honest. I continued on, but when I got towards the bottom of the ship, there were two rooms that kept killing my Jack. But I did not want to end the game, or start over from the last save so I hunted up the cheat codes to give Jack a life or two. I was enjoying the game and wanted to keep going. (The rooms were 31293 and 37899. Sad that I was killing Jack immediately after saving him and giving him 6 lives. :-[ )
I have now finished the mansion, without cheats, but like the original players I missed the whole section around the twisted ladder room. I can not figure out where to get another blue key. I'm assuming that's what I'm needing.

Hi Catwoman. How did you manage in the mirror room (Psychtronic's cabin)? Remember, EVERYTHING is mirrored there

Yes, I got the key in Psychtronic's cabin. I was assuming I needed a blue key since I didn't make it into your cabin or Freddy's. I was thinking that may be how I missed reaching the other rooms. Instead of going into your cabin, I used the blue key to go back up and visit the bridge.

Well, I finally made it through this room. This was the one giving me a difficult time both times playing this mansion. >
