It's not in the secret area is it??? I found a shield in there but nothing else.

Re: Help at the beginning! - Matari - 11-15-2008

I think you might need to go back again and search

Re: Help at the beginning! - Rhywun - 11-15-2008

Ah, I found it! It's not a secret area, but a required area Smile

Anyway, I have to respectfully disagree with the author that this is an
easy
mansion Smile
At least if you compare it to the Easy mansions that come with the game. I'd say this one is really Normal.

yah... easy to normal Smile but it's easier than the hard version... and I sure did mark the secret there quite thoroughly Big Grin

I have to agree that it is not an Easy mansion. I've never been able to get past the second save. My Jack isn't very good at the single tiny brick jumps that are required at that point.

Neither is mine...

I must agree, it isn't an easy mansion. I think it is normal to maybe the normal-hard side. But it is difficult to say. We should ask Vern about the definition of an easy, a normal and a hard mansion is. The more we play the easier it gets so we might forget how hard an easy mansion as at the beginning!!!!! Some of us hasn't played computer games as young and it takes quite a while to get the fingers to work fast enough :-[

Re: Help at the beginning! - otg - 11-16-2008

of course it can be hard to make the small brick jump if you haven't played that much, but practice is everything. I remember playing Falcon Manor Easy 100 times [or so Smile] to get to the first save [since MM was my
first
computer game...]

Also, this mansion was never intended to be in an easy version, I made the Octopus Hard, but after reading a lot of comments about too few easy mansions, I stripped it and remade the hard parts so as to make it easy. Due to this procedure, some parts might still be considered Normal... I sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this might have caused...
