No, you can't just keep them on your desktop unless you allow everyone access to your computer.

The picts are sent and I finally found a new avatar. Iron Maiden redid their site, and It doesn't have avatars anymore

Er...could someone explain further about the linking-images-from-your-desktop thing? I posted an image last week from my desktop that seems fine; should I have done it differently?

Not necessarily..... it can also be a mere attachment, as far as I remember !!
