A brief history of the game
At first there was Midnight Mansion, now often called MM1. This game package was for Mac only and contained 8 mansions, each on easy, normal and hard level. Above that there was a builder included, so that customers could design mansions themselves.
Then there was Midnight Mansion HD, now abbreviated as MM1 HD for both Mac and Windows. It contained the 3x8 mansions from MM1 plus 3x a bonus mansion: Tomb of Princes. All in high definition!
Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills, includes 28 mansions with a lot of new features. The 8 built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. Yes indeed, the MM2 package also has an included builder to create mansions!

Custom mansions

In the past decades several customers started experimenting with the builders. Creating rooms. Talking about it on the Midnight Mansion Forums. Sending their own designed mansions to other board members to test them. And finally sending them to the administrators of MMF.
Result? Nearly 200 extra mansions are downloadable from these boards and some of them have over 100 rooms.
If you like to download custom mansions, go to the General Custom Mansions Area (Mac and Windows) where you find the lists with all the download spots.

A Nightmare for Greedy Goldhunters

Some of you may remember my very hard mansion, "A Resort for Retired Goldhunters".

Well, finally we have the long awaited very easy version - in the sense that it should be impossible to kill Jack.  There are still places with some very difficult jumps etc but Jack should survive them all if I have done everything correctly.
I have used MM2 features to make this version a little more interesting.

I hereby challenge you to try very hard to kill your Jack in this very easy mansion.  Please let me know if you succeed and of course let me know of any ofter flaws in this version.

Around midnight Huh my Jack started visiting the mansion.

This very very easy mansion seemed to be very very hard.  Grin Angry Cool
Maybe he should first visit the very very hard original version!?

In the opening room my Jack couldn't do anything. There is a pressure plate of which I still don't know what it activates. Maybe toggling gold/silver? I need to check if there is a vine somewhere between the poles. Or there may be a way down depending from before or after pressing that button.

The second room went much better. Roll Eyes Embarrassed Although Jack didn't have a key, he could aproach all coloured doors. But in the end he got stuck between the red door and a grey door at the left. I mean, I had that impression.

I think it needs a revist during daylight.  Wink

In the starting room my Jack could catch the key. So I know now that in the next room he will have progress. And he also found two ways of dying. Do I need to report that?

Okay. It was with top ladder jumps to the left and the right.

Exploring the yellow section right now. Arrived in 14099.

In the starting room I still had the loss of a life when first doing a ladder jump to the left and only then one to the right (while the grey bat platform is somewhere at the left).

Edited

When I arrived at the save point I opened the 3rd yellow door with my rainbow key and without any key I went down the pole for the second time. To have a closer look.
14700 Jack may die by falling down the ladder
14500 After the first use of the moving platform it did stop close below the ladder, followed by the reveal of a grey sinking platform below that stopped platform. Sense? The second time this way is a dead end. So back to the bottom and up in the left wing.
14299 Multiple Jack deaths in the lower right corner because of the scorpions.
14099 Second time the electric beams reveal but don't work.

I have 1 secret right now. Did I miss a hidden key?
